London's Zédel Brasserie is alive with the sound of musicals this month.
Natasha Barnes, celebrated for stepping into Sheridan Smith's shoes in Funny Girl with such success, makes her solo stage début when she kicks off a month packed with shows from musical theatre performers.
Also taking to the stage in the intimate Crazy Coqs are Wicked's Emma Hatton with a celebration of Eva Cassidy, Anna-Jane Casey: A Life In The Day and Caroline Sheen whose credits include playing such lovely ladies as Mary Poppins in the first US tour and Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium.
The Zédel Follies get their second outing with an evening of famous songs originally sung by male artists in "It's a Man's World"; the line up includes Summer Strallen.
Other October performances include Joan Vázquez' Something’s Coming – A Sondheim Tribute, with guests including Julie Atherton, Miss Hope Springs, and Matt Cardle, and without music Monkey See Monkey Do from comedian Richard Gadd and Grayson Perry's look at masculinity in Typical Man in a Dress.
