English National Ballet will return to the Royal Albert Hall next summer (17-28 June 2020) with Derek Deane’s production of Swan Lake in-the-round. This epic in-the-round staging features over 120 performers including 60 swans gliding across the stage in unison. Tchaikovsky’s memorable score is played live by English National Ballet Philharmonic.

Tamara Rojo CBE, English National Ballet’s Artistic Director said: “This iconic production has captivated audiences worldwide since it was first performed more than two decades ago. I am so pleased it is returning to the magnificent stage of the Royal Albert Hall next year, it is the perfect production to close English National Ballet’s season of 70th Anniversary celebrations.”

Lucy Noble, Artistic and Commercial Director for the Royal Albert Hall said: I am thrilled that Swan Lake is returning to the Hall, and we can once again witness the arena floor transformed into a shimmering lake with 60 ballerina ‘swans’ tiptoeing through kaleidoscopic formations in our Victorian auditorium. We are delighted to welcome English National Ballet back for this magical production, which has mesmerised hundreds of thousands of people since its world premiere here in 1997 and has become one of the defining images of the Hall.”

Priority booking for Swan Lake in-the-round opens 10am Wednesday 26 June 2019, with tickets available on general sale from 10am Friday 28 June 2019.
