The Exorcist

Bill Kenwright presents the nationwide tour of a live production of The Exorcist, based on the best-selling novel by William Peter Blatty.

The devilish tale has been adapted for stage by John Pielmeier and directed by Sean Mathias (Waiting for Godot, No Man’s Land), featuring the voice of Ian McKellen as the Demon.

When the medical profession fails to provide answers to young Regan’s strange symptoms, her desperate mother Chris turns to a local priest for help.

William Friedkin’s 1973 Academy Award-winning film adaption gained a cult following.

Opening at the Theatre Royal Windsor on September 2, the production will then visit Glasgow, Wimbledon, Stoke, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin, Edinburgh, Inverness, Aberdeen and Bromley, with further dates and star casting to be announced soon.
