Double Olivier winner Girl From The North Country returns to the UK as part of a major international tour and comes to The Lowry in Salford next September.
Written by Conor McPherson (The Weir, The Seafarer) with music and lyrics by Bob Dylan, it’s in Salford from September 19–24.
It reimagines Dylan’s songs in the heartland of 1934 America where wayward souls cross paths in a time-weathered guesthouse.
McPherson said, “collaborating with Bob Dylan has been a unique privilege,” while Dylan added, “to be associated with Conor is one of the highlights of my professional life. It goes without saying the man is a genius for putting this thing together and I’m thrilled to be a part of the experience. My songs couldn’t be in better hands.”
Girl From The North Country first opened at The Old Vic in July 2017 to huge acclaim and sold out audiences.
Casting to be announced.
