Glaser has grand fiddle on the roof at Wolverhampton

Paul Michael Glaser who will be in Fiddler on the Roof at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton from 15 until 19 October

Paul Michael Glaser, one of the stars of the American TV series Starsky and Hutch, will play Tevye in Craig Revel Horwood’s new touring production of the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof when it stops off at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton.

The show, which visits Wolverhampton from 15 until 19 October, is one of 15 new productions confirmed for the Grand.

The theatre has also announced that Maureen Nolan will reprise her role as Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers from 29 April until 4 May. Warwick Evans is again the narrator while Sean Jones and Mark Hutchinson will play brothers Mickey and Eddie.

Karl Howman, Bruno Langley, Graham Seed, Jemma Walker and Clare Wilkie will appear in the 60th anniversary tour of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap from 27 May until 1 June.

Autumn drama highlights at the Grand include Eric Chappell’s sitcom Rising Damp from 30 September until 5 October; and The Touring Consortium’s new adaptation of E R Braithwaite’s autobiographical masterpiece To Sir With Love from 22 until 26 October.

Musicals include Marti Pellow as Che in Evita from 19 until 31 August; Dreamboats and Petticoats from 16 until Sat 21 September; and Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show from 28 October until 2 November.

The Grand has also announced that Joe Pasquale, Ceri Dupree and Lucy Evans will appear in the panto Sleeping Beauty from 7 December until 19 January.
