The Jewish Legends

Aria Entertainment www.aria-entertainment.com presents a celebration of some of the greatest Jewish performers, The Jewish Legends.

Featuring the work of Burt Bacharach, Carole King and Leonard Cohen amongst others the show continues where the sell out The Jewish Legacy left off, looking at the contribution of performers such as Barbra Streisand, Al Jolson, Bette Midler, Sophie Tucker, Fanny Brice, Zero Mostel and Groucho Marx.

The Jewish Legends has been written by Chris Burgess, musical direction is by Matt Ramplin and the arranger is Andy Collyer.

Stewart Nicholls directs Steve Serlin, Martin Neely, Josephine Lee, Molly Marie Walsh, who are supported by a live band.

The Jewish Legends is produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment and plays The Radlett Centre, Hertfordshire on 31 January and The Jewish Museum, Camden on 8 February.

In March, Lipson teams up again with Guy James—the duo are responsible for the sell-out London première of Marry Me a Little which ran at London's St James Studio last summer returning by popular demand in October.

This time they present a musical revue celebrating the work of multi Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist Jerry Herman, Jerry's Girls.

An all-female cast sing the classics from Herman's canon including Hello Dolly!, Mame and La Cage Aux Folles.

Created by Jerry Herman and collaborator Larry Alford in 1981, Jerry's Girls was originally a cabaret presentation which was worked up to a full-scale, all-star production for Broadway following the successful opening of La Cage Aux Folles.

Jerry's Girls is directed by Kate Golledge and choreographed by Matthew Cole. It plays St James Studio from 3 to 15 March.
