Lauren Samuels is to join Louise Dearman at Leicester’s Curve in the world première of a musical inspired by Charles Kingsley’s novel The Water Babies.
Hinckley-born actress Lauren Samuels made her professional stage debut at Curve playing Wendy in Peter Pan The Musical.
She was a finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s TV search for Dorothy in Over the Rainbow and made her West End debut as Sandy in the musical Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre.

As previously announced, Louise Dearman, the first actress to play both Glinda and Elphaba in the musical Wicked, will make her Curve debut as Mrs D.
The Water Babies will be directed by Ed Curtis, with music by Chris Egan and book and lyrics by Ed Curtis and Guy Jones. The musical previews at Curve from 24 April and runs from 6 until 17 May.
