The second week of the Classic Thriller Season at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham features Shadow of the Ghost by Nicolas Ridley and Chris Ponka from Monday until Saturday.

Leamington Spa-based Heartbreak Productions takes its outdoor show Peter Pan and the Lost Boys to Nottingham Castle on Wednesday, Packwood House, Solihull on Friday and Wightwick Manor, Wolverhampton on Sunday while the company’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice visits Charlecote Park, Warwickshire on Saturday.

Oxbridge Opera Company presents The Sorcerer by Gilbert and Sullivan at Buxton Opera House on Friday and Saturday.

Leicester’s Curve stages two community productions: Jonathan Larson’s award-winning musical Rent on Monday and Thursday and Annie, which continues until Sunday 10 August.

Wicked continues at Birmingham Hippodrome until Saturday 6 September.

At the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford, in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre The Two Gentlemen of Verona continues until Thursday 4 September and Henry IV Parts I and II continue until Saturday 6 September while in the Swan Thomas Middleton and Thomas Dekker’s The Roaring Girl continues until Tuesday 30 September, Arden of Faversham continues until Thursday 2 October and John Webster’s revenge tragedy The White Devil continues until Saturday 29 November (press night Wednesday 6 August).
