The man with the golden pun, Uncle Eric, will leave audiences at Newcastle-under-Lyme’s New Vic shaken and stirred when David Graham Productions stages the ‘60s musical Diamonds are for Eric from Monday until Saturday 1 September.

The final play in the 2018 Classic Thriller Season at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham is a “wicked, contemporary thriller”, The Nightmare Room, John Goodrum’s adaptation of an Arthur Conan Doyle short story, from Tuesday until Saturday.

Anne Dalton’s ABD Productions presents J M Barrie’s Peter Pan at Malvern Theatres from Wednesday until Sunday.

Ian Kennedy Productions “bring their unique style” to Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers in the open air at Gloucestershire venues Cowley Manor, Cheltenham on Wednesday, Glenfall House, Cheltenham on Saturday and Rococo Garden, Painswick on Sunday and Monday.

Mischief Theatre’s first UK tour of The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, opens at Birmingham REP from Thursday until Saturday 8 September.

Lucie Jones and Jodie Prenger are among the artists who will perform in a free concert to celebrate the tenth birthday of Leicester’s Curve on Sunday.
