Oliver! for Christmas in Sheffield
Tim Firth's new comedy This Is My Family

Artistic director of Sheffield Theatres, Daniel Evans, has announced the Christmas show which adds a further musical to the season which has been previously reported.

The new musical comedy by Tim Firth, This Is My Family, directed by Evans, opens in the Studio on 19 June and Evans will also direct Oliver! by Lionel Bart for the Christmas and New Year period. Phil Davis will play Fagin.

Other musical news is that Daniel Evans's production of Simon Beaufoy's The Full Monty will open in London's Noel Coward Theatre in February next year.

Also added to the programme is Alexander Masters Stuart: A Life Backwards by double BAFTA award-winning Jack Thorne which Mark Rosenblatt directs.

For the Studio, in October Robin Hooper's Love Your Soldiers has its world première, an intense drama to be directed by Sheffield Theatres Associate Director Richard Wilson.
