Watford Palace Theatre's new season

Watford Palace Theatre has set out its January to May programme.

Comedy features significantly with a revival of Ronald Harwood’s Equally Divided to be directed by Artistic Director Brigid Larmour, a Hertfordshire County Youth Theatre production of Heartbreak Beautiful and a new play by Award–winning Tom Wells, Jumpers for Goalposts, which will be directed by Paines Plough Co-Artistic Director James Grieve.

Alan Ayckbourn’s Surprises from the Stephen Joseph Theatre, a new production of Rutherford & Son from Northern Broadsides, a new version of Chekhov’s The Seagull from Headlong Theatre and Dennis Potter’s Blue Remembered Hills from Northern Stage are all included in the programme.

From the producers of hit musical Britain’s Got Bhangra, which tours nationally next year, comes a new Bollywood and Street dance drama, Break The Floorboards, and new dance pieces will be presented by BalletBoyz in the TALENT 2013, showcase.

For families the programme offers an opera version of The Firework-Maker’s Daughter, adapted from Philip Pullman’s novel, a playful version of The Tempest, which will also tour local schools, How to Catch a Star from Blunderbus Theatre and The Elves and the Shoemaker from Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company.
