UK premières feature heavily in the Bush Theatre's upcoming season.

May sees the opening of Disgraced, the award-winning play by Ayad Akhtar which had such success in New York, after which two world premières, each by a leading British actor, will take the main house stage—Josephine and I, written and performed by Cush Jumbo, concerns the life of Josephine Baker and Rory Kinnear's witty and heart-felt look at families The Herd will be directed by Howard Davies.

A new collaboration with HighTide Festival Theatre will see the UK première of Moth in the Attic theatre space and RADAR, the Bush’s new writing festival, promises more previously unseen works, debates and events.

Alongside its new season, the Bush has announced stage and screen writer Omar El-Khairy as the third annual Leverhulme Associate Playwright at the Theatre. Over twelve months El-Khairy will develop his own work as well as providing opportunities to other playwrights and artists.
