Scottish Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker is at Newcastle Theatre Royal from Wednesday to Saturday.

Northern Stage presents its in-house production of The Invisible Man in Stage 3 from Tuesday until 19 February.

Rowan McCabe’s Door-to-Door Poetry Nationwide comes to Live Theatre on Wednesday.

Tree, a new play by Gary Kitching & Steve Byron, runs at Alphabetti from Tuesday until 12 February.

Rendez-Vous Dance brings The Monocle to Gosforth Civic Theatre on Saturday.

The Place presents a new dance show by Extended Play, DONUTS, at Dance City on Friday.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast the Musical at Sunderland Empire runs until 19 February.

The Cinder Path – A Musical, adapted by Paul Dunn from the novel by Catherine Cookson, comes to The Customs House in South Shields on Sunday at 2:00 and 7:30.

On Saturday at 2:30, Grist to the Mill Productions and Red Dragonfly Productions present The Ballad of Mulan at The Witham, Barnard Castle.

From Tuesday to Saturday, Blood Brothers comes to Darlington Hippodrome.
