On Friday Backscratch Theatre presents Any Good Thing in the Newcastle Theatre Royal Studio.

Any Good Thing then goes on to Beamish Museum on Saturday and St Thomas’ Church Hall in Stanhope on Sunday.

From Tuesday to Thursday A Wondrous Place, celebrating four Northern cities (Newcastle, Liverpool, Sheffield and Manchester), comes to Northern Stage.

Brilliant Adventures continues in Live Theatre’s Main House until 15th June, whilst in the Studio Club Adelphi presents Under the Microscope on Thursday and on Friday and Saturday Chicken Pox Fox Productions presents a script-in-hand reading of Brown Bird by Lee Mattinson.

Cats continues at Sunderland Empire until Saturday.

La Baracca Testoni Ragazzi presents Spot, a show for 1 to 4 year olds at 10:30AM and 1:30PM on Friday at Arts Centre Washington.

Ion presents Charley’s Aunt at the Customs House, South Shields, from Wednesday to Saturday.

Dyad Productions & Theatre Tours International bring Austen's Women to The Maltings at Berwick on Friday.

EDge, presented by London Contemporary Dance School, comes to the Queen’s Hall in Hexham on Tuesday.

Dora Frankel Dance brings The Unfolding Sky – Turner in the North to Lindisfarne Priory on Saturday.

The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs comes to Durham’s Gala Theatre on Tuesday, followed at 2.30 on Sunday by The Enormous Turnip (for age 2 upwards) by Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company.

On Wednesday at ARC Stockton TongueTied Theatre presents Conversations Not Fit for the American Dinner Table development performance, a work-in-progress evening.

On Froiday Sell a Door Theatre brings 1984 to the Middlebrough Theatre.

Patrick Hamilton’s recently discovered psychological thriller, The Governess, comes to Darlington Civic from Monday to Saturday.

Blunderbus brings Dotty the Dragon, for age 3–7, to Richmond’s Georgian Theatre on Saturday at 2PM.

As You Like It, presented by The Lord Chamberlains Men, will take place in RHS Harlow Carr Gardens in Harrogate on Thursday.

2's Company, a mini-festival of theatre, takes place at Harrogate Theatre on Friday, with performances by The Invisible Thread, Il Pixel Rosso, Hannah Jane Walker and J Fergus Evans.
