Dance company Southpaw presents its double bill, Riots and Men on a Mission, at Arts Centre Washington on Thursday.

Away from Home comes to the Customs House in South Shields on Thursday, followed on Friday by Weather to Fly.

On Saturday DYAD Productions presents one-woman show Female Gothic at The Maltings in Berwick, and on Sunday at 1pm Red Table Theatre presents The Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling.

Southpaw brings Riots to the Queen's Hall in Hexham on Tuesday.

51 Shades of Maggie comes to the Gala in Durham on Tuesday and at 3pm on Saturday M6 Theatre presents children's show Grandpa's Railway.

On Saturday Barney Live - The Let's Go Tour comes to Billingham Forum at 1PM and 3:30PM.

Female Gothic is at the Middlesbrough Theatre on Thursday and it si followed on Friday by Scene Productions with a new adaptation of Woyzeck.

The Russian State Ballet and Opera House visit Darlington Civic with Carmen on Tuesday and La Traviata on Wednesday and on Saturday and Sunday at 10AM, 1PM and 4PM it's the turn of Peppa Pig's Big Splash.

On Friday, Sell a Door Theatre Company beings Kidnapped to the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond and it is followed on Saturday by Opera Romance.

In Harrogate Theatre's Studio on Thursday, Penny Dreadful Productions present How to Be Immortal and on Friday and Saturday Nunkie returns with two different programmes of ghost stories by M R James.
