Young People's First in 3, work in progress from young theatremakers, is at Northern Stage on Wednesday.

nabokov and Soho Theatre bring Blink to Live Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed on Friday and Saturday by Penny Dreadful Productions with How To Be Immortal.

Stomp comes to Sunderland Empire from Tuesday to Saturday.

Thursday sees the return of scratch night Greenhouse to Arts Centre Washington.

The Customs House in South Shields presents NE writer Tom Kelly's first children's play, The Girl and the Unicorn, from Tuesday to Thursday at 2PM (11:30AM on Thursday only), and on Friday and Saturday Vamos Theatre brings Finding Joy to the venue.

On Tuesday at 2PM, Red Table Theatre Company presents Kipling's The Just So Stories at Alnwick Playhouse and on Friday South Paw Dance Company performs its double bill Riot and Men on a Mission.

On Thursday Filter's version of Twelfth Night comes to The Maltings in Berwick, and on Friday in the Studio it's the turn of one-man show The Hat, the Cane, the Moustache, the story of Charlie Chaplin.

The second of the BITESIZE series of plays, Love and Red Tape, comes to the Studio in the Queen's Hall, Hexham, at 2pm and 8pm on Friday (8pm show sold out).

PMA Productions presents The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at Billingham Forum from Wednesday to Saturday.

Children's show Bananas in Pyjamas is at Middlesbrough Theatre on Wednesday. It is followed on Thursday by Reform Theatre Company with My Romantic History.

At 11:30 and 2:30 on Thursday, Half Moon presents children's show Big Red Bath at ARC Stockton.

Another children's show, Grandpa's Railway from M6 Theatre, comes to Darlington Civic on Tuesday at 2PM and 4PM, and it is followed on Thursday by Balletboyz - The Talent.

Lempen Puppet Theatre presents Journey of Turtle, for the over-5s, at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond on Friday at 2pm.

The Russian State Ballet & Opera House brings Carmen to the Royal Hall in Harrogate on Tuesday (tickets from Harrogate Theatre). In the theatre's Studio on Wednesday and Thursday it's the turn of puppet show Tomten for children aged 3+.
