Shrek the Musical continues at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle until 29 March.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Ultima Vez presents the revival of Wim Vandekeybus's What the Body Does Not Remember at Northern Stage. There will be a short performance inspired by the work outside the theatre at 7PM on both nights by Timeless Youth Dance.

At Live Theatre on Friday there will be a 1950s inspired edition of regular show Mixtape called Mixtape Rock 'n’ Roll Jukebox, bite-sized micro-plays inspired by music. This is followed on Saturday by Schlock! written and performed by Hannah Silva, a "feminist satire for the cut and paste generation."

Alphabetti Theatre presents The Frights by Louise Taylor from Tuesday to Saturday.

On Thursday Ellen Kent brings La Traviata to Sunderland Empire.

On Thursday Fertile Ground continues its spring tour of four new contemporary dance pieces at Arts Centre Washington.

On Thursday and Friday Tangled Feet brings Kicking and Screaming to the Customs House in South Shields and on Sunday Fertile Ground ends its spring tour with a gala performance of NOW / Shields of Bone / Land / A New Chimera, plus another new piece On the Darkened Wing.

Donna Disco comes to the Queen's Hall in Hexham on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed on Friday and Saturday by Billy, based on Billy Liar and presented by Jemms Performance Company.

On Monday Moscow Ballet La Classique presents Sleeping Beauty at The Playhouse Whitley Bay.

One Man Breaking Bad (The Unofficial Parody) comes to the Gala in Durham on Monday.

On Friday and Saturday (various times) family show Jurassic Adventures comes to Billingham Forum.

On Tuesday Sell a Door presents Jekyll and Hyde at Middlesbrough Theatre.

Kicking and Screaming is at ARC Stockton on Tuesday and Wednesday, one of the venue's Pay What You Decide events.

From Tuesday to Saturday the Touring Consortium Theatre Company brings Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge to Darlington Civic Theatre.

Townsend Productions presents United We Stand in the Harrogate Theatre Main House on Wenesday, followed in the Studio by Caroline Horton in Penelope Retold on Saturday.
