Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Oliver! continues at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, until 3rd November. On Friday at 10am and 1pm the RSC’s Young People's Shakespeare production of King Lear comes to the theatre and on Friday and Saturday Daniel Bye’s Ash plays in the Studio.

Chalet Lines continues at Live Theatre until 6th October.

Dirty Dancing opens at Sunderland Empire on Tuesday and runs until 6th October.

Theatre of Moths presents Remember Jim? at Arts Centre Washington on Thursday and Friday.

On Wednesday New Perspectives Theatre Company presents Michael Morpurgo’s Farm Boy at the Customs House in South Shields.

On Tuesday Switchback brings Lucy and the Hawk to Alnwick Playhouse.

Farm Boy is at the Maltings in Berwick on Tuesday.

Lucy and the Hawk comes to the Queen’s Hall in Hexham on Thursday.

London Festival Opera presents A Night at the Opera at Durham’s Gala Theatre on Thursday.

Ash comes to the Arc, Stockton, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Farm Boy is at Middlesbrough Theatre on Monday.

The touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat runs at Darlington Civic Theatre from Tuesday to Saturday.

Mikron brings Losing the Plot to Richmond’s Georgian Theatre Royal on Saturday.

Northern Broadsides’ A Government Inspector continues at the Harrogate Theatre until Saturday. In the Studio Reform Theatre presents Seconds Out from Wednesday until 29th September.
