An opera-goer from a tender age - G&S at primary school and then 'comic' opera at Sadler's Wells. My first taste of the heavy stuff was Aida and Carmen at Verona and from there I never looked back. In the days when I could afford it The Coliseum was my favourite evening out. at least twice a month. Now Welsh National and Opera North are my staple though particularly I love my Opera Rara and other not so popular CDs and DVDs.
