Churchill Theatre Bromley new programme

Kindertransport - marking the 75th anniversary of the Kindertransport, a moving and compelling play by Diane Samuels

The new programme at Bromley's Churchill Theatre is as wide–ranging as ever; it has something for all tastes—literally—in a season that includes musical theatre, drama, dance, comedy and Ready Steady Cook! live on stage

Olivier-award nominated musical Soul Sister opens later this month with Blood Brothers and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers following; West Side Story, Buddy—the Buddy Holly Story, Tonight’s the Night—The Rod Stewart Musical and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat all play the venue for a week in the spring.

The drama offering includes Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, touring for the first time to celebrate its 60th Anniversary, John Godber’s September in the Rain and, to mark the 75th anniversary of the Kindertransport, a moving and compelling play by Diane Samuels, Kindertransport.

The dance programme includes performances by the Balletboyz and The Russian State Ballet of Siberia.

In addition to the Churchill's annual pantomime, this year Cinderella staring Matt Lapinskas from Dancing on Ice and Eastenders, Nickelodeon presenter Anna Williamson and Balamory's Andrew Agnew, families and young people can enjoy the Shakespeare Schools Festival, with Dora the Explorer Live! and Room on the Broom the younger ones.

A range of shows will play the venue for one or two nights only. These include Roy Orbison & Friends, Ha Ha Holmes! and the Hound of the Baskervilles, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show Live!, An Evening of Burlesque, and Ready Steady Cook Live! and performances by the Soweto Gospel Choir, Sandi Toksvig and Sally Morgan.
