Hobson's Choice at Bolton Octagon

The Octagon Theatre in Bolton continues its season of plays with Lancashire favourite Harold Brighouse’s Hobson’s Choice, directed by David Thacker.

Thacker has deliberately paired the play with Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, the second pairing of the Octagon 2013–2014 season after An Inspector Calls and Long Day’s Journey Into Night.

He comments: “Both are comedies with romantic plot lines. There will be a 12-strong cast of actors performing in Hobson’s Choice in our intimate in-the-round auditorium. I am also pleased that it will then tour to Newcastle-under-Lyme and Oldham.”

After performing in the Octagon’s 2012 festive production of Peter Pan, Natalie Grady returns to the Theatre in the role of spirited Maggie Hobson.
