Gogol’s absurd farce Marriage plays The Jack Studio

The work of playwright and novelist Howard Colyer is back on stage at The Jack Studio next month when Ballast Theatre Company returns with his adaption of Nikolai Gogol’s absurd farce Marriage.

Colyer’s adaptation of Gogol’s The Overcoat played The Jack in 2011; the venue has also hosted Colyer’s original works Never Have I Seen Mount Fuji, Homework and Conference Call, and adaptations Mandrake, Kafka V Kafka and, most recently, Flight.

Ballast Theatre return to the Jack Studio again in August with Diary of a Madman, also adapted by the prolific Colyer who is currently working on a new version of The Government Inspector.

Marriage will run without an interval. It plays from 24 June to 12 July.
