Call for Young Reviewers

In April, New Writing North is to launch a new web site called Cuckoo Review, and is looking for the next generation of arts journalists to review, preview and opine on the best of the arts in the North East. Cuckoo Review will aim to become the region’s premier reviewing site for young people.

Cuckoo reviewers will get access to press nights, performances and one-off events at venues throughout the region; interviews with artists, authors and musicians visiting the region; and a chance to take a first look at soon-to-be-released books and films. It’s an opportunity for anyone looking for experience of journalism.

Cuckoo Review will be launched on 28th April at Hexham Book Festival, so New Writing North needs people ready to start reviewing, previewing and interviewing throughout April. Anyone interested in becoming a Cuckoo Reviewer or who would just like to find out more please e-mail [email protected] with name, age and contact details.
