Call Mr Robeson, an award-winning play, is performed at The Met in Bury next Thursday. It’s a welcome return for a popular musical play, which sold out the Met Studio in January 2011.

Dracula flies into Lancaster Grand Theatre next Tuesday, in a production that has already been attracting enthusiastic reviews around the country. Presented by the Blackeyed Theatre Company, it blends Victorian Gothic with the contemporary.

Blackpool Grand Theatre is trialling a new idea, asking customers “what would you pay for great drama?” on its opening performance of Eternal Love from English Touring Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe.

The world première of Pests by Bruntwood Prize winning playwright Vivienne Franzmann is to open at The Studio at Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre from Wednesday to March 22.
It follows the story of two sisters, trapped in a tiny rotting world and cuffed to a past that refuses to release them.

While its main stage is hosting Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, next Monday and Tuesday the play’s central character of Malvolio steps into his own unique solo show at Bolton Octagon. It’s a welcome return to the region of a one-man production by Tim Crouch, I, Malvolio.

Flying Solo is Manchester Contact’s annual festival exploring the unique experience of solo and one-to-one performance. The 2014 festival features an international line-up of artists, including a Basset Hound called Major Tom and a host of new works.

Dario Fo’s comic exposé of police corruption based on true events Accidental Death of an Anarchist is showcased at Oldham Coliseum through to March 22.
