Next Friday and Saturday, Salford’s Lowry arts centre welcomes the UK’s leading contemporary circus show Noodles. NoFit State presents it as part of its early 2015 tour.

An exhibition like no other is promised by three sisters in Lancaster next week. Mirrored Minds, which takes place at The Dukes, will combine live performance, film and visual art to give visitors a rare glimpse into the process behind performance.

The Lion King roars back into Manchester next week, doubtless to repeat its earlier record-breaking run at the city’s Palace Theatre (hear our interview with the cast who visited Manchester in 2012).

Another returnee to Manchester next week is Monty Python’s Spamalot, back at the Opera House from January 15 to 24.

The National Theatre’s One Man, Two Guvnors returns to The Lowry in Salford next week with ex-EastEnder Emma Barton and Norman Pace of comedy duo Hale and Pace (hear our podcast interview with lead actor Gavin Spokes).

To mark the centenary of the playwright’s birth, the Octagon Theatre in Bolton is staging Arthur Miller’s celebrated story of loyalty, community, and possessive love A View from the Bridge. It runs from next Thursday to February 14.

Eight productions including drama, comedy, and a family show feature in Manchester’s annual Re:play festival celebrating new theatre from next week. A specially built pop-up theatre in a city office block has been laid on by HOME, the organisation formed by the merger of Manchester’s Library Theatre Company and Cornerhouse (see our podcast episode Re:Play Festival 2015 from Home Manchester).
