Later this month a charity gala concert of Our House takes to the stage almost exactly ten years after it first came to the West End and scooped the Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

The story is set in Camden in north London and blends romantic comedy with the songs of the ska/pop band Madness. These include the title song "Our House", "Baggy Trousers", "Driving In My Car" and the band's cover of Labi Siffre's 70’s hit "It Must Be Love" which has now well overtaken the original in the public consciousness and become something of a classic.

This one night event reunites the show's original director Matthew Warchus and designer Rob Howell, who have since collaborated on other projects (Matilda and Ghost The Musical).

On the stage will be Madness frontman, Suggs, Alistair McGowan well known for his work on stage—Cabaret, Little Shop of Horrors and Pygmalion among others – and television (including BAFTA Award-winning The Big Impression), EastEnders’ Tameka Empson who was in the original cast, and Wendi Peters formerly of Coronation Street and the Landor and West End transfer of The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Additional cast members are Chris Carswell, Miria Parvin, Jack Shaloo, Jenny Fitzpatrick, Matt Cross, Greg Airey, Georgie Ashford, Lauren Appleby, Kara Bayer, Gabrielle Brooks, Dougie Carter, Debbie Jenkins, Paul Kemble, Lewis Krik, Kayleigh Louise-Smith, Michael Melmoe, Jenny O'Leary, Carryl Thomas and Gavin Wilkinson.

The concert takes place on Sunday 11 November at the Savoy Theatre. It is produced by David Adkin in aid of Help for Heroes. For more information and booking contact 0844 871 7687 or www.ourhouseinconcert.com.
