Peter Glanville leaves Little Angel Theatre after eight years as Artistic Director

Peter Glanville will leave Little Angel Theatre in November after eight years as Artistic Director.

Glanville's tenure has seen the programming of puppet work for adult audiences alongside that for children of all ages. Most significant has been the introduction of a biennial showcase of international work, The SUSPENSE London Puppetry Festival.

Part of his legacy will be the partnerships formed with other theatres and companies and support for developing new work under the Little Angel’s Incubate, Firsts and Hatch programmes.

Glanville has directed many shows for Little Angel including Carol Ann Duffy’s The Tear Thief (Little Angel / Royal Exchange), Michael Rosen’s The Magician’s Daughter (Little Angel / The RSC) and We’re Going On A Bear Hunt (which will also play Stratford Circus over Christmas).

In 2011 he directed the Royal Shakespeare Company co-production The Tempest, and his production of Macbeth opens both this year's SUSPENSE festival and the Theatre's autumn season, which is entirely aimed at an adult audience

Peter Glanville joins the Polka Theatre as Artistic Director.
