Talawa Theatre Company summer season

Doña Croll (Vera Corrigan in Doctors) leads the cast of All My Sons with Don Warrington

Michael Buffong, Artistic Director of black-led theatre company Talawa Theatre, has announced a summer season that sees Don Warrington (recently on tour in Driving Miss Daisy and Doña Croll lead the cast of All My Sons in a co-production with the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. Miller's classic will be directed by Buffong.

Ahead of that in June is the three week showcase of Black British writing, Talawa Firsts, which includes staged readings, discussions and workshops. New writing is also represented in TYPT:13 an initiative for emerging theatre-makers who this year will work around the issues of gender and sexuality.

It has also been announced that during spring of next year a revival of the National Theatre production of Moon On A Rainbow Shawl written by Errol John and directed by Michael Buffong will tour the UK.
