It is going to be a busy year for London's Little Angel Theatre with two new productions and funding for a tour and schools workshops.

The Paper Dolls, the first of the two new shows, is a Little Angel Theatre and Polka Theatre co-production for ages three to seven, created by Peter Glanville and Lyndie Wright who where behind Macbeth, We’re Going On A Bear Hunt and The Magician’s Daughter.

It is based on the book by Children’s Laureate and Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson and concerns the adventures of a little girl and her string of paper dolls.

The second new production, The Journey Home, will tour nationally before playing the Islington home of Little Angel Theatre in September.

It tells the story of Polar Bear who has to find a new home when the ice he lives on starts to melt. It is based on the award- winning book by Frann Preston Gannon.

Currently touring and returning to Little Angel next month is favourite Handa’s Surprise based on the book by Eileen Browne.

The story is set in Kenya and follows Handa’s journey to see her best friend Akeyo, in the next village and the seven animals she meets on the way.

Little Angel have programmed Baby Friendly Performances and a Relaxed Performance of The Paper Dolls.
