West End transfer for National's Curious Incident

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time had a sell out run at The National Theatre's Cottesloe earlier this year and record–setting audience figures when broadcast live to cinemas worldwide.

The production is now getting ready to move to the West End's Apollo Theatre were it will run from 1 March to 25 May 2013.

The play is based on Mark Haddon’s multi–award winning book of the same title. He has written children's books, poetry and other best–sellers and his first theatre work, Polar Bears, was seen at the Donmar Warehouse two years ago. Simon Stephens, whose other credits at the National include Harper Regan and On the Shore of the Wide World adapted Curious Incident.

Luke Treadaway will reprise his role as Christopher Boone at certain performances. He will be joined by other original cast members Matthew Barker, Niamh Cusack, Sophie Duval, Rhiannon Harper-Rafferty, Nick Sidi and Howard Ward. Other casting is yet to be announced.

The production is suitable for ages 13 years and over.
