Dick Whittington continues at the Theatre Royal, Newcastle until 17 January 2016.

At Northern Stage, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz continues in Stage 1 and Up and Out Christmas Sprout in Stage 2, both until 2 January.

Newcastle Panto Company’s Aladdin is at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House until 30 December.

Alphabetti Theatre presents Carols & Cocktails from Tuesday until 23 December.

Aladdin opens at Sunderland Empire on Friday and runs until 3 January.

Box Clever presents A Christmas Carol at Arts Centre Washington on Thursday at 1:30 and 7:30.

Alice in Wonderland continues at the Customs House in South Shields until 9 January and Santa’s Naughty Elf & the Christmas Caper for very young children plays in The Studio until 24 December (various times).

Puppet show In a Nutshell (for ages 3 to 6) continues at the Queen’s Hall in Hexham until Tuesday and then from Friday until 28 December Oddsocks presents The Legend of King Arthur.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs opens at Playhouse Whitley Bay on Thursday and runs until 3 January.

Cinderella continues at the Gala in Durham until 3 January and Elf’s Christmas Toys (for the under-5s) runs until 24 December.

Goldilocks & the Three Amazing Bears is at Billingham Forum until 3 January.

Cinderella runs at the Middlesbrough Theatre until 3 January.

Peut-êthe Theatre presents The Tin Soldier (for age 3+) at ARC Stockton from Wednesday to 24 December.

Darlington Civic’s panto, Cinderella, continues until 10 January.

Jack and the Beanstalk at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond runs until 3 January.

Aladdin at Harrogate Theatre continues until 17 January.
