The Father with Kenneth Cranham (Best Actor in the 2016 Olivier Awards for this performance) comes to the Theatre Royal, Newcastle, from Monday to Saturday.

At Northern Stage this week, Odd Man Out’s production of From there to you, from here to me is on Tuesday and Wednesday, NORTH 2016’s production of Luke Norris’ Growth runs from Thursday to Saturday and Improbable’s Opening Skinner’s Box from Friday until 30 April.

Iris continues at Live Theatre until 30 April.

At Alphabetti on Thursday and Saturday, Newcastle College showcases new writing by students.

Billy Elliot continues at Sunderland Empire until 30 April.

At Arts Centre Washington on Thursday, the tour of a revival of NE writer Tom Kelly’s Baby Love begins.

On Tuesday at the Customs House in South Shields, Nicholas Collett performs Nelson: The Sailor's Story.

Baby Love comes to the Gala in Durham on Friday, Saturday and next Monday.

From Tuesday to Saturday, Joe McElderry stars in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Billingham Forum.

Steampunk fairytale for adults Grandad and the Machine comes to ARC Stockton on Wednesday at 7PM. Then on Saturday at 11:30AM and 2:30PM DNA Puppetry presents Tom Thumb for age 4 to 9.

On Tuesday at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, Dyad Productions presents Dalloway, followed on Wednesday by Robert Cohen with Something Rotten, Hamlet from Claudius’s point of view. Then on Thursday, Opera Nova presents If Music Be the Food of Love…, an evening of music inspired by the works of William Shakespeare.
