Mark is a Lecturer in Theatre at the University of York's School of Arts and Creative Technologies. He's passionate about new writing, devising, performance and physical theatre, and how all these things overlap. He is also very interested in community theatre.
As well as being an academic, he has directed and performed in productions throughout England and abroad, starting up an English-language student theatre company while working in Finland, and more recently directing for the York Shakespeare Project, Script Yorkshire, York Settlement Players, and University of York.
