The BBC Celebrates Lloyd Webber On Sunday 14th September, Radio 2 continues its celebration of the leading lights of musical theatre with Andrew Lloyd Webber's Birthday In The Park. Stars from the world of pop, musical theatre and television will take to the stage in London 's Hyde Park to celebrate the composer and impresario's 60th birthday. The concert will broadcast in Radio 2's Friday Night Is Music Night on 10th October.
Host John Barrowman will introduce music from Andrew Lloyd Webber's major works including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Cats, The Phantom Of The Opera and Sunset Boulevard.
The 70-piece BBC Concert Orchestra will accompany performances from Steve Balsamo, John Barrowman, Dean Collinson, Jason Donovan, Connie Fisher, Maria Friedman, Ruthie Henshall, Duncan James, Lee Mead, Idina Menzel, Denise Van Outen, Elaine Paige, Jodie Prenger, Joss Stone, Julian Lloyd Webber, Hayley Westenra, the 100-strong Crouch End Festival Chorus and harmonica player Philip Achille.
The concert will also bring stars of BBC One's Any Dream Will Do and I'd Do Anything together on the same stage, with Jessie Buckley, Rachel Tucker, Niamh Perry, Keisha Amposa Banson, Keith Jack, Ben James Ellis, Daniel Boys and Lewis Bradley all performing Light At The End Of The Tunnel from Starlight Express.
And joining the evening's line-up are former G4 singer Jonathan Ansell and Rhydian Roberts, who will revisit the Phantom Of The Opera.
The concert begins at 6pm and will close with a firework finale.

The event will take place the day after Proms in The Park, using the stage and infrastructure already in place from the previous concert.
