I Told My Mum I Was Going on an RE Trip is a verbatim performance that tackles the issue of abortion in a funny, frank, and moving way and be at Contact in Manchester from February 1 to 4.
Co-produced by award-winning 20 Stories High and Contact, it is created from 50 interviews with young women, boyfriends, parents, health professionals and campaigners from both sides of the abortion debate to create an honest and balanced work.
The taboo-breaking show features a young female ensemble that use verbatim voices, live music, beats and rhyme to portray the stories of real women who’ve experienced pregnancy and abortion.
