Paul Nicholas, Jaymi Hensley, Sheila Ferguson and Kev Orkian are among the cast of Aladdin at Northampton’s Royal and Derngate.
Nicholas plays Abanazar while Union J boy band member Hensley takes the title role. Former Three Degrees singer Ferguson is the Spirit of the Ring and comedian Orkian, who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, joins them as Wishee Washee.
The cast also includes Zoe George as Princess Jasmine, Dom Hartley-Harris as the Emperor and Darren Machin as Widow Twankey.
Stewart Nicholls directs. Choreographer is Alan Burkitt. Phil Dennis is musical director and plays keyboards, with Tim Rose on bass guitar and Ian Whitehead on drums.
Aladdin runs in Derngate from Friday 8 until Sunday 31 December.
