Aladdin prepares to fly into Nottingham Playhouse

Kenneth Alan Taylor writes and directs his 33rd panto for Nottingham Playhouse, Aladdin, which promises a “magic carpet ride full of family fun and frolics”.

John Elkington who plays Widow Twankey will be appearing in his 17th panto at the theatre. Another Playhouse favourite, Rebecca Little, plays WPC Pong and Slave of the Ring.

The cast also features Danielle Corlass (Aladdin), Nathan Elwick (Wishee Washee), Irene-Myrtle Forrester (WPC Ping and Genie of the Lamp), Kevin McGowan (Abanaza), Darren Southworth (the Empress of China) and Jasmine White (Princess Jasmine).

Designer is Tim Meacock, choreographer is by Adele Parry, sound designer is Adam P McCready and John Morton is musical director.

Aladdin runs at Nottingham Playhouse from Friday 25 November until Saturday 21 January. Press night is Saturday 26 November.
