A new adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland will be the Christmas 2017 production at Birmingham’s Old Rep.

Gaynor Cheshire, principal of Birmingham Ormiston Academy which is producing its third Christmas production at the Old Rep, said, “once again we’ll be bringing the best theatre and digital skills to the stage from both a professional and student team.

“The Old Rep is becoming an established part of the city’s festive celebrations and we look forward to welcoming families on what will be a magical adventure.”

Alice in Wonderland will be directed by Scott Le Crass who has been directing regional and national theatre since after taking part in the Birmingham REP Foundry programme.

Musical director will be Steve Allan Jones, a regular contributor to Christmas shows at the Old Rep. Choreographer is Lee Crowley and Libby Todd is costume and set designer.

Alice in Wonderland runs at the Old Rep from Monday 20 November until Thursday 30 December.
