Flying Saucers Drama Club at the Royal Exchange

The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester is inviting youngsters to join the Flying Saucers Drama Club, new Sunday sessions which will give children a chance to work with professional theatre-makers and create their own plays.

Named after the spaceship-like appearance of the Exchange’s iconic theatre module, the club’s activities will take place all over the building.

For ten Sundays, there will be a session for 5- to 7-year-olds (11:30AM to 12:30PM) and one for 8- to 11-year-olds (3PM to 4:30PM). Sessions run from September 21 to December 7 (excluding half term).

Children will work towards a performance of The Three Little Pigs for family and friends to enjoy. The sessions will help them to build their confidence, make new friends and learn all about storytelling and putting on a play. They will also have the opportunity to explore the theatre and to work with professional artists.
