Ambassador Theatre Group in top 100 firms by profit growth

Ambassador Theatre Group's profit growth sees it ranked 6th

Ambassador Theatre Group has been placed 6th in The Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100 list which is published today. The ranking is by profit growth over three-years.

Joint CEO of the Group Rosemary Squire said “It is testament to the hard work and tenacity of everyone who works for ATG, from backstage to front of house, that ATG is featured in the Top 10 of the Profit Track 100. I am also thrilled that the diversity, breadth and quality of the work in our theatres continues to draw large audiences, even in times of economic hardship.”

Last year the Ambassador Theatre Group was rated the second fastest–growing privately-backed company in The Sunday Times Buyout Track 100.

Amongst the recent successes for the Group is the Royal Court West End season of Laura Wade’s Posh and April De Angelis’s Jumpy last year and Constellations in 2013.

Their UK premières include Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical on tour and internationally the Australian première of Legally Blonde the Musical. Currently in the west end is Macbeth with James McAvoy and opening soon The Hothouse with Simon Russell Beale and John Simm and Passion Play with Zoë Wanamaker.

Ambassador Theatre Group is the largest owner / operator of theatres in the UK. It was co-founded in 1992 by Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire.
