Young people aged between 16 and 23 may apply for an apprenticeship at Northampton’s Royal and Derngate or The Core at Corby Cube.
Four paid apprenticeships lasting a year are being offered. Both venues are looking for an apprentice theatre technician. Royal and Derngate is also recruiting a theatre production assistant while The Core at Corby Cube wants to take on a creative projects apprentice.
Martin Sutherland, chief executive of Royal and Derngate and The Core at Corby Cube, said, “we’re really pleased to able to offer these opportunities for young people from our area to get experience and qualifications that could help put them on the road to a career in theatre. This is part of our ongoing commitment to support people at all stages of their development within the creative industries.”
The closing date for applications is Thursday 17 March at The Core and Friday 18 March for Royal and Derngate. Applications should be submitted to the National Apprentice Service.
