Coventry’s Belgrade is looking for seven people to join its producing team which will help leaders Laura Elliot and Corey Campbell to deliver their new creative vision for the theatre.

The Belgrade wants to recruit a head of producing and co-creation, an associate director, a community producer, a producer, a digital producer, an assistant producer and a producers’ administrator to join its 10-strong team.

The extra staff can be appointed thanks to the Belgrade retaining its status as an Arts Council national portfolio organisation and being awarded a 30% increase in its core annual funding. The theatre will receive £1,229,552 for the period 2023–2026.

Creative director Campbell explained, “these new opportunities represent a shift for the Belgrade: we’re producing and co-creating more in-house work than before and taking it to stages around the country.

“Our talent development programme is also changing because we’re producing more home-grown stories from the ground up. We wholeheartedly believe that the producing structure and the people that we’re recruiting are going to be a key part of that new talent development programme.”

Chief executive Elliot added, “we’re using the next three years to set the foundations of a people-first organisation. We aim to be a leading example of an inclusive learning theatre that sits at the heart of its community.”

Further information about the jobs is available at the Belgrade web site.
