Birmingham REP has announced that its Christmas 2015 production will be a new staging of The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.

The REP’s artistic director Roxana Silbert said, “The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe is a classic story that touches young and old. This vivid stage adaptation will bring a little bit of magic to the winter season.”

It will be brought to life by the REP’s associate director Tessa Walker who directed A Christmas Carol at the theatre in 2013.

More than 60,000 people saw Adrian Mitchell’s dramatisation of C S Lewis’s book when the REP last presented The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe in 2008.

The new staging will run at the REP from Wednesday 25 November until Saturday 16 January 2016.
