The world premiere of One Love: The Bob Marley Musical at Birmingham REP has been extended from four to five weeks.
Written and directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah, One Love: The Bob Marley Musical tells the story of a man propelled from reggae star to global icon. With unprecedented access to the entire Bob Marley catalogue, the musical features Marley’s greatest songs performed live including "No Woman No Cry", "Exodus", "Jamming" and many more.
Stuart Rogers, the REP’s executive director, said, “we always believed that a show telling the story of such a global icon would prove very popular but we’ve been really encouraged by the way it seems to have captured the public’s attention, with audiences booking from as far afield as Israel, Oslo, Madrid and Hamburg.
“We're delighted to be able to offer audiences an extra week of performances of what will be an extraordinary show.”
One Love: The Bob Marley Musical runs from Friday 10 March until Saturday 15 April.
