BRB brings Swan Lake to Salford

Birmingham Royal Ballet open its 2012/13 season at The Lowry in Salford with Sir Peter Wright's Swan Lake, performed by some of the world's greatest dancers including talent from the North West.

Swan Lake, a firm favourite for all the family, ballet aficionados and first-time attendees, comes to Salford after sell-out performances in Birmingham and Virginia in 2010.

Lancashire-born Yvette Knight and Wirral-born James Barton are part of the ensemble and are both celebrating recent promotions within the Company.

This production, one of the most popular classical ballets in Birmingham Royal Ballet's repertoire, was first performed by Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet (now BRB) in 1981 at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.
