Remembering Spencer Perceval: Nick Hall

Nick Hall will perform at Buxton Fringe his one-man comedy play about the life and death of a forgotten British leader in The Assassination of Spencer Perceval.

Perceval has one claim to fame: he is the only Prime Minister to be assassinated. Unfortunately, few people have heard of him. Two hundred and five years later, Hall tells his story.

In this “inventive and hilarious journey” through history, Hall draws parallels with the present. In this discordant age of Brexit, Donald Trump, Jeremy Corbyn and Theresa May, he asks if we can learn something from the past.

The Assassination of Spencer Perceval will be staged at the Old Clubhouse, Water Street, Buxton on Saturday 8 July at 5:30PM.
