Evelyn Hoskins, Michael Shea, Greg Haiste and Dan Starkey head the cast of Peter and the Starcatcher at Northampton Royal at Christmas 2016.
Hoskins who played the title role in Carrie – The Musical at Southwark Playhouse in 2015 and Nicky in Tim Firth’s musical This is My Family on tour in 2013 is Molly in Peter and the Starcatcher.
Greg Haiste who appeared in Jessica Swale’s Nell Gwynn at Shakespeare’s Globe plays pirate leader Black Stache, with Dan Starkey as his sidekick Smee. Micheal Shea makes his professional stage debut as Peter.
The cast is completed by Marc Akinfolarin, Lewis Griffin, Ian Harris, Tendayi Jembere, Michael Matus, William Pennington, Sebastien Torkia, Miles Yekinni and Tom Attwood who is also the musical director.
Peter and the Starcatcher, the prequel to Peter Pan, won five Tony awards. It features Starcatcher apprentice Molly embarking on a dangerous mission to stop a precious cargo of stardust falling into the wrong hands.
Luke Sheppard, whose production of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes’s In The Heights at Southwark Playhouse in 2014 won three Olivier Awards, directs.
