Casting has been announced for Tony Award-winning Titanic the Musical with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone which will open in Southampton in April at the start of its first ever UK and Ireland Tour.

Directed by Thom Southerland, the production is to visit the cities whose forebears built, manned and sailed on the famous ship with a gala performance in Southampton, the city from which it original set sail.

The cast includes Alistair Barron, Dieran Brown, Greg Castiglioni, Lewis Cornay, Alexander Evans, Simon Green, Emma Harrold, Devon-Elise Johnson, Claire Marlowe, Oliver Marshall, Matthew McDonald, Chris McGuigan, Matthew McKenna, Gemma McMeel, Janet Mooney, Joel Parnis, Timothy Quinian, Philip Rham, Dudley Rogers, Victoria Serra, Niall Sheehy, Judith Street, Stephen Webb and Samuel J Weir.

Composer and lyricist Maury Yeston said, "the idea that a troupe of actors will tour this show in the UK, birthplace of the ship, where the workers of Belfast, the cabin boys and maids and stewards from Liverpool, the officers and crew, the stokers and stevedores from the Midlands all created a miraculous floating city, means more to me than I can say.

"I am touched that, musically, Titanic will finally be coming home, sung by the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of its builders—touched, and forever grateful."
