East Midlands touring company New Perspectives has announced that executive director Chris Kirkwood has been appointed the new chief executive of Lincoln Drill Hall.
He began working as general manager at New Perspectives in June 2007.
He said, “It’s been a fantastic five-and-a-half years at New Perspectives. It has been a wonderful company and I sincerely hope that in my new role we can find ways to work together in the future.
“The company is entering an exciting new phase and I wish them the best of luck for the future.”
Next year marks the 40th anniversary of New Perspectives which has more than 110 original productions under its belt.
The company’s productions of The Hired Man and Michael Morpurgo’s Farm Boy both transferred to Brits off Broadway, New York after UK tours.
Other highlights include adaptations of Larkrise to Candleford and Michael Morpurgo’s The Butterfly Lion.
Kirkwood will take up his new appointment next March.
