More than 30,000 people saw Cinderella at Derby Arena—the panto co-produced by Derby LIVE and Paul Holman Associates.

The show, which featured Richard Blackwood from EastEnders as Buttons, Eilish O'Carroll from Mrs Brown's Boys as the Fairy Godmother and Art Attack presenter Lloyd Warbey as Dandini, was watched by more 14,000 children. Almost a quarter of the visitors were from outside Derbyshire, some coming from the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

More than 5,000 theatregoers went to see Captain Sprout and the Christmas Pirates, co-produced by Derby LIVE and Babbling Vagabonds, at the Guildhall Theatre, Derby.

Beauty and the Beast will be the Derby LIVE panto for 2017. It will run at Derby Arena from Tuesday 5 December until Sunday 31 December and 3,000 tickets have already been sold.
